He’s a panel chair at the Sommelier Wine Awards, a specialist contributor to Imbibe Magazine and conducts many tastings each year for corporate clients, wine companies and consumers. He’s also worked with several wineries in Europe and further afield to help them find the best importer to make an impact on the UK market.

Paul was a co-founder with Eric Narioo of the award-winning Les Caves de Pyrene, which began as a specialist in wines from South West France before expanding into many other regions. A former director of London City Bond, he is currently Sales and Purchasing Director of Bincellar Limited, overseeing a portfolio that is especially strong in New Zealand, France and Portugal, and selling to wine companies in North America, Europe, UK and Ireland and Russia. He also runs Paul Greenhalgh Consultancy, which specialises in Logistics, General Management, Cost Control, Sales and Marketing.
Simon Woods, Director
Simon gave up life as an electronics design engineer in 1988 to indulge his two hobbies, wine and writing. Since then, he has been co-coordinator of the annual International Wine Challenge, columnist for The Financial Times ‘The Business’ magazine, five-times editor of the annual Which? Wine Guide, and a judge at wine competitions on four continents. He was voted International Online Wine Columnist of the Year prize at the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers’ Awards 2010 for his videos and writing on www.simonwoods.com. He’s judged at (and run) several wine competitions, and his books include the award-winning ‘I Don’t Know Much About Wine But I Know What I Like.’ His relaxed and humorous style also makes him an in-demand presenter of talks and tastings on a wide variety of wine topics.
