About Sarah Jane Evans

Sarah Jane is a Master of Wine, one of only 64 women in the world with the qualification. She's a wine and food writer and broadcaster. She started life in book publishing and then moved into magazines as Associate Editor for BBC Good Food magazine where she worked for a decade. Today she's Wine Editor for the BBC's Good Food and olive magazines and writes regularly for Decanter, M&S magazine and Harpers. She has been President of the Guild of Food Writers and she's a General Governor of the British Nutrition Foundation, and a Trustee of the Andre Simon Memorial Fund. She judges at wine shows round the world including Australia, Chile, Germany, Georgia, Portugal and London (for Decanter and the IWC). She's a fan of fine Sherries, and a founder of the Academy of Chocolate, which campaigns for a better understanding of fine chocolate.
